Sewing to Serve

Community Reformed’s Quilt Group invites you to join in on our project this fall: making Walker Bags for the residents of Shaker Place Nursing Home. You may not be able to attend our semi-monthly sewing meetings, but if you want to use your sewing skills to help make someone’s life a little more comfortable or cheerful, we would love to have your help. Each bag takes two half-yard cuts of fabric, some fleece or batting, a couple of small hook-and-loop pieces, and a yard of ribbon (or self-made ties). Use up some of your left-over fabric or request a fabric kit.
